Thank you for choosing to be part of our community at Hatito ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. When you use our mobile application (the "App"), we understand that you trust us with your and your employees' information. We take your privacy very seriously. In this privacy notice, we describe our privacy policy. We seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information is processed by the app, how it is used, and what rights you have in relation to it.

Please read this privacy notice carefully, as it will help you understand what we do with the information that is collected.

1. Information Storage and Processing

Local Storage First

We prioritize your privacy and data security. By default, the vast majority of the data you enter into the App—including employee details, attendance logs, notes, and payroll information—is stored strictly locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to, collected by, or stored on any external servers managed by us.

Personal Information You Disclose to Us

The personal information that we may collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the App, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. This may include:

  • Account Information: If you choose to use features like Google Sign-In for backup purposes, we receive limited information associated with your Google account, such as your email address, name, and profile picture, solely for authentication and backup synchronization.
  • Feedback and Support: If you contact us for support or provide feedback (e.g., via the in-app Feedback feature sending an email to contact@hatito.com), we collect the information you choose to provide in your correspondence, such as your email address and device information.

Third-Party Services

We may utilize third-party services within the App to provide specific functionalities:

  • Google Drive Integration: If you choose to enable the Google Drive backup feature, the App will request access to your Google Drive to securely store and retrieve backup files of your App data. These backups remain entirely under your control and within your personal Google Drive account. We do not have access to the contents of these backups.
  • In-App Purchases: The App offers premium features (e.g., Kroloom Pro). Transactions are processed securely by third-party platforms (such as the Google Play Store or Apple App Store). We do not collect or store your financial information, such as credit card numbers. Your subscription status is processed to enable unlocking of premium features.

2. How Do We Use Your Information?

We use the limited information we collect or process for the following purposes:

  • To facilitate account creation and logon process: We use Google Sign-In to authenticate you securely for backup functionality.
  • To provide and run the App safely: Relying on local storage ensures your data remains under your absolute control.
  • To manage your account and subscription: We check your subscription status to grant access to premium features like Google Drive backups and advanced search.
  • To manage backups: We use Google Drive APIs strictly to allow you to backup or restore your local App data safely to your own account.
  • To respond to user inquiries/offer support: We may use the email address you provide via the feedback feature to respond to your inquiries.

3. Will Your Information Be Shared With Anyone?

We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations. Because your primary App data (attendance and payroll) is stored locally on your device or your personal Google Drive, we do not have access to it and therefore cannot share or sell it to any third parties.

4. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We keep your information only as long as necessary.

  • App Data: Data stored locally on your device remains there until you manually delete it, clear the App data through your device settings, or uninstall the App.
  • Backups: Backups stored on your Google Drive remain there until you manually delete them from your Google Drive account.
  • Support Emails: If you contact us via email, we will retain your correspondence only as long as necessary to address your inquiry or feedback.

5. Security of Your Information

We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures. Your data's primary security comes from it being stored locally on your device. We recommend utilizing your device's built-in security features (such as screen locks or biometric authentication) to further secure access to the App on your device.

Please remember that while we strive to protect your data, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

6. Access and Control over Your Data

You have full control over the data within the App. You can add, view, modify, or permanently delete employee records, attendance logs, and payroll data directly within the application's interface at any time.

For data backed up to Google Drive, you can manage or delete those files directly through your own Google Drive account interface.

7. Changes to This Privacy Notice

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this document. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes within the App or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
